What is the life span of clown fish?

From what I have read around 20 years.

In personal experiences, my Clarkii pair is 9+ years old.

Had a pair of occy's for 7 years, currently they are about 9 years in a friends tank and seem to be going strong.

I have a friend that had one for 19 years.

I have seen a pair that is 25+ years old they where ORA breeding clowns that got retired to a LFS in Orlando, Sea in the City is the name of the store....clowns where huge.....

Yep. Paul and Paulette. They are beautiful clowns and a mainstay of the store.

Pre Katrina I think there was a pair of percs in Louisiana that were in the neighborhood for 25-30 years old. They were in a really old school tank too, undergravel filter, crushed coral substrate, etc.

So to answer the question, they live a long time if taken care of.

There is a pair of false percs in a LFS in Fort Lauderdale that are 23+ years old and still spawning!
