I read on aquariumpros.com that said
"Fish-only tanks should be 78ºF, and reef tanks and planted aquarium ideally should be 74ºF to 76ºF"


I remember Paul like it at 78. He mentioned that the reef was more stable at that temp.

So whats the right temperature. I put a poll for 5 days to find out.

im going with 77-78

lower temps mean greater oxygen in the water, but too low and you run the risk of slowing growth.
 
I prefer 78-80. This will be warm enough that if a heater went out, it shouldn't drop too dangerously low and allow a fair amount of oxygen in the water. Yet it's low enough that if you had it warm up 2-4 degrees, you are still safe. Most importantly, a constant temperature helps the life in your tank out drastically.
