What is the yellow blob growing on LR?

I have it growing on the LR a yellow growing thin blob creaping now over growing some zoo's if it bad and how get it out of the LR.
Can someone tell if there are pic's to look at to see if it has a name?

yes that is it a yellow Sponge.

what is the best way to get it out so it will not over grow the tank?

i've personally never had the sponges in my tank take over but you could take the rock out and scrape it off. make sure it's all of if you have a brush you could use to help scrape the lil bits off that would help you also.

spounges are harmless filter feeders i wouldn't worry about getting rid of it. i have a bounch in my tank and they don't bother anything. otherwise if you expose the sponge to air that will kill it in a short time
