What is this growing on my snail?

Looked around but haven't found any pics that ID these guys. The longer one is about an inch long.

Looks like Acetabularia Sp. (Mermaids Wine Glass). If that's what it is it is a calcifying algae that is usually short lived in the aquarium. A closer picture would help.
