LOOKS LIKE COTTON, I TRIED TO TAKE HER OUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND REMOVE IT. I GOT IT OUT BUT THEN IT GREW BACK.

IT ON BOTH SIDE OF THE GILL NOW AND ALSO ON THE LEFT BODY UPPER RIGHT OF THE MIDDLE STRIP. LET ME KNOW WHAT IT IS AND THE TREATMENT THANKS

SHE IS A WILD CAUGHT AND BEEN SITTING FOR THREE WEEKS IN COPPER AT .25PPM

OTHERWISE EATING AND SEEMS NOT STRESS BY IT.

it looks like lymphocystis. its a viral infection, but usually goes away on its own with a healthy fish. if it is eating well keep feeding high quality foods and monitor him. a cleaner shrimp may help but obviously not in your quarantine tank
