I picked this up yesterday, thought it was a Acanthastrea but now I'm unsure. Please help me id so I know where to put it in my tank.

Looks a number of different corals- Echinophyllia would be my first guess, but potentially Mycedium, Oxypora, Echinopora, Barbattoia, Acanthastrea (very doubtful) among others. No way to tell Im afraid.

Youll likely have the best luck in a moderately lit part of the tank, though most of the genera listed above are pretty forgiving, and will tolerate more intense lighting if theyre acclimated slowly. Dont blast them with a water jet, but enjough movement to keep debris from settling between the polyps, which could cause the tissue to erode.
