What is this weird stuff in my tank?

In my nano, in the water, is this "smoke-like" thing that is all in my water, it just looks a little coudy (the water) when looked at head on, but if i look up from under that tank, i see what looks like fog or something, this happened to my last tank once, and went way on its, own, i didnt think anythign of it, but i want to know now what it was and is in my tank, please help me out, thanks

It could be a bacterial bloom, or microbubbles. Is this a newly set up tank? Did you use RO/DI water? Is the tank done cycling? Can you give some more description of the tank, how it is set up,etc.?

3 Weeks old, done cycling(live sand), RO water, 4 lbs of live rock,one 60 gph PH, Whisper 5-10 gallon filter, 26 W of compacts...

What are the readings on all of your parameters? Temperature staying stable? Do you have a heater in it?

The white smoke stuff is varely there this morning, but my parameters are the same, no nitrates, no nitrites, the water is always hard with out water, and the PH is 8....... the temp stays around 76 degrees, and i have a heater in it. The salitinty is 1.026
