it's a pest mushroom. I'll buy the rock it's on from you... I'll take the risk of it spreading in my tank.

Its Discosoma neglecta. They are from the Caribbean, get around 7 inches in diameter, and have a reputation for eating stuff like shrimp and small fish. Common name is umbrella mushroom for the frill around the outer edge.

ok thanks for the help, forrestcook i plan on keeping it! i got it yesterday and its in my mushroom tank, i think it looks insane? is this mushroom common?

++1 yes they do eat shrimps and small fishes becareful with them.
