what is this?

:wave: So added some stuff to my DT and these things started showing up.. any idea what they are and do i need to worry about them?

Looks like some type of "undesirable" anemone to me. Possible Aiptasia or Majano anemones. Undesirable because as you're starting to see, they can spread quickly and take over your tank. A lot of people kill them by shooting kalk paste on them.

Not at the moment. But as they spread they will become a problem, growing on top of, in-between & over your corals. In time, your tank could be mostly filled with these things. Google or search on here for "Aiptasia" or "Majano" and you'll likely read all the nightmare stories from people trying to get rid of these pests. If I were you I'd zap them now. Just take your pump out and scrub them off. Make sure you get all of them though or they will grow back.

Zap them, take the pump apart and clean inside very thoroughly. These pests will reproduce from tiny pieces.

Get a couple peppermint shrimp. Zapping them never works, they ALWAYS come back.
