I have this purple thing growing on 1 of my rocks anyone know what it is??

Hard or soft? Man, it could be something related to a Kenya Tree, some form of Red Algae, a Tunicate or Sponge, or a variety of other things. I don't recognize it straight away. I assume it's sessile and not mobile?

yea it stays still. its not hard and not soft. kinda like a new branch on a tree. you can bend it but its not really soft. you can kinda see it in the 1st pic but down the sides of the branches it has little blue spikes kinda.

Agree with Bebo77 - super cool. You're lucky to have such a beautiful variety in your tank.

Watch out for tangs. My yellow would munch that thing into oblivion in 30 seconds. The only kind of macro algae I can keep is halimeda. He's even tried eating that!
