What is this??

I was rearranging some rocks the other day and I lifted one off the sand and found this growing underneath the rock! I have put it back but tilted it just a bit so I can see it. Does anyone know what it is and does it have to remain in the dark?

It's hard to tell what it is from the picture. If it was growing on the underside of the rock, that is probably what it likes.

If you can post a bigger picture (or one that doesn't look so washed out), we might be able to give you a better idea of what it is.

Almost looks like a ricordia mushroom, is it is your in luck. It's a great thing to have.
