These two have been with me for 7-9 months since they were about 1/2" long. I just transferred them to my new tank about two weeks ago. They have been acting just fine, both are now hosting my duncan colony which only the male was using in the old tank. The past two days I've noticed their bottom lips have a white color to them. First thing that comes to mind is poor nutrition but I try to feed a variety of foods, usually frozen foods five times a week and pellets the other two. I only feed once a day most of the time. I rotate the following foods:
Frozen Mysis Shrimp
frozen krill
Rod's frozen fish only blend
Frozen bloodworms
Frozen Formula foods- special formula VHP
frozen cyclops
and specrum Thera+A pellets
I used to feed formula 2 pellets(the green ones) until my kid dumped the whole can in the tank about 2 months ago. I haven't bought a new can yet.
What can be causing this? Is it life threatening if untreated? What should I do? These are the best pictures I could get.
