What is wrong with my RPE's?

My RPE's have started looking like mushrooms the last week. I had them pretty high and they were getting a lot of flow so I moved them down to the sand. They used to be big and round and now they just look weird. They are even growing and have doubled in size so I am not sure what this could be. Water params are just about as good as it gets. All other corals and zoa's are doing great. Any ideas?????

Hmm... my Happy PE were doing that a couple weeks ago. It only lasted a day and they were back to normal so I just figured it was nothing. My other zoas were fine the whole time, I didn't move them or anything, just left them where they were and everything was fine.

Strange. They have been like this for about a week. They don't even close up at night anymore either. I moved them where they are in the picture last night. They seem to like less water movement.

mine did the same exact thing when I moved them from a higher tank position down to the sand bed. when I moved them to the middle of the tank they opened up like normal

people eaters in general do not like to be expose to to much light put them in a more indirect light.

They may have cyano growing on them.

Mine did that when I had a PH swing due to CO2. Did last a few days but they got better.
