I WAS using one of them tiny sony T series cameras and it did a great job till I dropped it in a river in Montana...well...dropped it and myself that is ;)

What do you guys use and what techniques have you found for taking great shots?

I am looking for info also.
I have a professional camera, but I am having a hard time with the white balance and glass distortion...

Homebrew, does your camera have a custom setting for WB? Use that one. My 2 other tips are, use a tripod & manual focus.

I do have a custom setting.
But not sure how to set it for my lights.

I think I need a white card or something.

I use manual focus a lot, but my camera can handle autofocus fine.

Don't want to take over this thread.....
My tank is a bit cloudy from feeding

90mm macro lens
ISO was set to 50
WB was set to auto on the camera

Nice shots!.

I have some cool techniques.. I turn the camera on, zoom in as close as possible, and then I push the little button on the top of the camera :D.

One of these days, I am going to try and learn a little about my camera. Maybe this thread will be a good start

Same as rod here and also would like to learn more. Have a Sony Cyber-Shot 7.0 mega pix DSC H5. Can do alot of things .........but dont know anything but to point and click :)

Rockdiver, that shot is a lil overexposed. You can raise the shutter speed or close the F-stop. Or just Photochop it!
