What kind of clam is this? (picures!)

It was sold to me as a derasa. Its in my scratched up 55gallon fuge with 2x110 VHO (10,000k and 6,500k bulbs) about 11" from mantel to light.

and one of the shell, it was kinda closed this morning, I got it friday:

so it should be fine with a 110watt 6,500k blub and 110watt 10,000k bulb?

Its about 4" so I wouldnt need to feed it right? Its my only large filter feeder in the tank cept the hitchiker sponges and dusters.

Supplemental feeding is always a good idea, regardless of the size of the clam. But, true, you don't absolutely HAVE to feed it.

How is the clam selection looking at exotic tropicals in Rogers! Im hoping to make it there in march..especally since I have the clam tank finally set up!

Maxs mostly small ones are ok too..I dont mind target feeding them DTs unless im out of DTs lol...Yeah I remember that clam tank he had them all in. I bought one of the tanks from him back in october lol only took me four months to get it up and running lol,
