The fish pictured above is not a peppermint hog (Bodianus sp.) It's a Hologymnosus rhodhonotus, completely different fish. They get much much larger and eat small fish. Definitely not reef safe. Peppermint hogs get about 4" and are only a threat to small shrimp and very peaceful similar bodied fish (like flasher wrasses).
