Kanamycin, neomcyin, and erythromycin do not gravely affect nitrification.
If you treat a fish in QT aganist bacterial infection, you may have to consider nitrification. Some antibiotics milder on nitrification may produce some nitrite but not much ammonia. You may want to use these or you may not.
If you decide to go without nitrification, it is better not to expose medium to antibiotics. This is easy if the medium is compact and convenient to remove from a power filter, for example.
