I bought some GSP on a piece of LR and when I got it hope and it all opened up I noticed that some of it looked different than the other. Now I am new to this coral / saltwater tank hobby and I just thought that maybe it was baby GSP. Now I am beginning to think that they are a different kind all together. What do you guys think?

I think they are the same GSP. The white dot is just the center of of the polyp, some of the polyps have more growth (length) and their centers are not as visible. You will see the white center for the rest of it easier when it retracts (usually at night).

GSP come in a ton of different colours. I have green, a vibrant neon green, and brown ones in my tank.

They grow like weeds too

Yea I have them separated on a rock away from the rest of my rocks in the middle of the sand so they don't get out of hand. So is there no other kind of star polyps than green?

The lighter brown star polyps may have been deprived of light, or they may just be that color. Time will time all.
