lol. Thats funny. I didnt even think about the house. lolol.
It would be for the house and the tank. In an emergency I would only need to run a few items in the tank to keep water circulating and airated. But then again, I would like to be prepared for anything.
How difficult would an auto system be? I was just thinking about getting one that I would manually operate. Is there a bid difference in price?
My wife's uncle owned a factory that made airplane parts for the miliatary and NASA. When he sold the business he took one of his generators. This thing takes up a quarter of his garage. He keeps several barrels of gas on hand at all times. During the 02 black out in NY he was able to keep his entire house running and also set up lights outside of his house for the community to gather around. He even told me he had extra juice to burn but didnt want to run the generator at capacity.
Do the watts rating for a generator directly translate to the amount of watts available? For example, if I have an 8,000 watt generator does that mean I can run 8,000 watts at one time.
Sorry if some of my questions sound naive but I dont have any experience with generators.
