what level to run 3 MP 40 QD

I have three MP40 QD on my reefer 450, and I have them on the back wall. I didnt want to put them on the side because I was afraid of them being bumped as my tank is between 2 doorways. I have rock about 2/3rds of the way up from the bottom, and about 3-4in in front of the MP 40s. I am getting A TON of algae on my glass. This tank has been up since April/May, and everything except the sand was from a mature tank. I thought maybe my tank was cycling, but it should have been stable awhile ago. Because the way the algae grows in a pattern I am thinking my flow is getting totally blocked from my rock work. Is it a bad idea just to have them on the back wall, or should they work just fine?

Anyone? I have a ton of brown stringy stuff and really want this gone. I am wondering if flow is the issue, and suggestions appreciated

No One has an opinion on this? I see posts where guys do 3 D modeling of flow patterns of their tanks, and no one knows if you can mount MP40s to the read wall, and if they are still useful? i guess I will call Ecotech, and talk to them

I wouldn't recommend having them all on the back wall for the exact reason you're experiencing.

thank you for the reply, I moved them up, and I already see a difference. I think I am going to order a 4th, and then put them all on the ends.
