What macro algea for hitching?

I want to add some macro algea to my 20 Gallon tank. I have one Hippocampus Reidi Male and all I have right now is LR and a twig thing. I would also like this macro to have some affect on my water nutrients. I am having a tough time keeping my nitrates in check.

You could add some chaeto, the horses love to hunt in it. It wll lower your nitrates. I would stay away from caulerpa because it can go sexual and affect your water quaility. It is also very hard to get rid of one t is in a tank.Codium is a favorite of mine. Reefcleaners.org is a good site with pretty much the lowest prices.

I have Botryocladia in with mine, It works great and looks good too

I also use Caluerpa Prolifera on my sand bed for pods to hide in and reproduce, and make hundreds of hitches for the ponies. Its not the best choice cause it can get out of hand and/or turn sexual, but it looks good
