what macro lense?

I am in the market for a macro lense for my d40x. im looking for something for taking pictures of the tank and other macro in general. I realy like the nikkor 105mm with VR but it is a little out of my price range. does anyone have any suggestions?

Check this post. I purchased a Nikkor 105 f2.8 ais manual lens and I am very pleased with the results.

You can search at ebay if you want to buy one. They sell from $200 to $500. Don't buy the first one you see. I purchased mine after several bidding losses.
