What medications are snail safe?

In addition to making an order of fish online I wanted to also introduce some new snails into my tank. When the order came in I put everything in a quarantine tank. A few days later I noticed a fungal infection happening on the fish and went to treat them right away. I took the snails out and put them in their own container and treated the fish. The fish are now treated and introduced into the display. I am still stuck on with what to cure the snails with because I am scared that they might have traces of the fungus on them. Does anyone know what medications out their are safe to treat the snails with? Thanks

As I'm sure you already know, snails can't contract a fish disease (like fungus), but they can carry "traces of the fungus" on their shell. There are no "snail safe" meds for this. Your only option is to QT the snails for 8-9 weeks so any traces of the fungus basically starve to death without a fish host being present.

True fingal infections are quite rare in fish and not really contagious. They usually result from an unhealed wound, fin rot, or something similar. What makes you think you're dealing with a fungus? Pics would help greatly, fungus is usually easy to identify; but is often mis-diagnosed, IMO. Many "fungal' infections are actually bacterial.

The fish had fin rot. And yes i was refering to the traces of fungus. Im just want to be safe and make sure theres no chance of getting anything into the display tank if possible. I don't really see anything on the shells. They look normal, I just want to be safe. Thanks for the help.
