What non-SLR camera is good at taking tank photos

What non-SLR camera is good at taking tank photos? I would like one with a decent macro mode. I also heard that a glass lens is the better road to take?

In the "non-DSLR" catagory you have some pretty nice options. The most common ones that I hear the most about and have seen great results from include:

Canon S2
Canon S3
Fuji S9000

These are great "advanced" digital cameras that give a lot of functions similar to a DSLR but in a nice, neat, small package that is very easy to use.
