This is the one my son has. I wanted to get him another Wrasse for his Birthday.

Is it still small? It tends to be when they are mature that problems occur. What else does your son have in the tank?
you might be better off buying something with your son but start looking at wrasse species that are generally peaceful but can also stick up for themselves a little, something like a melanurus wrasse.
