What pump are you using for your ATO?

Hey guys i just recieved my avast auto top off and didnt realize it didnt come with a pump so now is the time to get one. Whats a good cheap pump that doesnt fill to fast? Has to travel up about 5 ft high, its for a 12 g nano.

I use an Aqualifter but it only works at about 30 inches...anything further than that and it just can't get the umpf. If you can raise your reservoir a little higher, it would work.

I ran into head pressure obstacles with the Aqualifter, and am using a Maxijet 400. I fabbed up an adapter to make the outlet use 1/4" nylon tubing, and that slowed it down nicely.

cr how did you do that? i have a pump that has a 1/2" outlet and i have 1/4" tubing but i need to bridge the gap somehow...

It is really low tech... very short piece of flex hose from the pump to a barb (with nylon clamps), barb screwed into a female/female coupling, and a John Guest in the other end.
