What red should I be looking for on a RBTA?

Ok I am a little lost to what red color should I look for in a RBTA. Mine is turning somewhat pink but still red. But I am not sure what red tone I'm suppose to look for which tells me its healthy. Can someone give me a idea to what red tone I should be looking for?

rbta's come in a variety of shades, and each will vary a little given the lighting they are under. If it is whitening, you may have a concern.

Usually when it becomes pink like this it is a bit bleached. Just like how if you add white to red it'll make pink, same concept.

Oh man mine looks something like that but a lot darker, I don't see white on mine though, its more of a pinkish red. This doesn't sound good. Does anyone have some good advice on making it return to full red? Mine still eats, mouth is shut, it has not moved anywhere. I feed mine everyday with vitamin enriched shrimp. I have carbon running, and I do water changes

Good water, feeding it, proper lights and time is all that you can really do.

Granted this is an LTA, but the point is the same.

When I first got it,

MY RBTA is a nice healthy color, it is a clone from an anemone that has been in captivity for 7 years.

@Todd
Thats amazing how you got it back to normal.

@GSM
Mine looks nothing like that red. Its more of a pinkish red. When I first got it, it was somewhat like that. But now it just looks weird.

more to look for then just color check out is the mouth gaping open are the tips bubbled...etc...

Wow some nice anemones here, and that white one seems to amaze me.

Thanks for all the replies.
One more question, a Time question
Does a anemone bleach faster than it recovers?

Yes it does. It is fairly easy for it to expel its zoan.......( not going to attempt to spell the symbiotic algae that lives inside and provides a lot of the energy that the anemone needs ), when under stress. But, takes longer to pull a few in and have them repopulate when conditions are better, or if it pulls in another strain that better suited for the environment that it is in.

From what I am gathering, a rose any color except a deep rich red has some bleaching? I ask because one of my favorite LFS in town has a rose that is a nice bright pink color that has had this color for over 2 years. It also always appears healthy, bubbles in the tenticles etc, also has a pair of clowns that host in it and has grown considerably. Furthermore I ask because I told them I wanted one like it and they called me to inform me they got one and I am suppose to go look at it tomorrow. I am a little concerned now since they are selling it as a pink rose at a higher then normal price and maybe it is just bleached?

Any suggestions/ideas or just try it and see?
