What Salinity for Cupramine?

Does anyone know what the lowest salinity I can have in my QT while dosing Cupramine?

I am coming out of Hypo (6 weeks) and already one of the fish is showing signs of a parasite (most likely ICH) he is losing color and has 2 spots on his side. I am currently at 1.015 should I try to get to 1.021 or so?

Thank you in advance...

The main reason why hypo and copper cannot be combined is that copper becomes more toxic at low pH, which is usually the case during hypo. As long as the pH gets back to the normal seawater range (8.1-8.4), copper can be safely administered.

That being said, I would at least get the salinity back to 1.020 so that pH can become stable. Since you're at 1.015, it should just take you 2-3 more days to get to 1.020. Don't worry, you have time and don't rush things. Fish aren't going to die from 2 spots.

Thank you, thats what I thought but I had no idea it was tied to the PH... now I know! :-)
