What should I be feeding?

Right now I am feeding omega one marine pellets, and also every other day marine green algae sheets.

I have a 6 inch yellow tang
2 false percula clowns
1 purple firefish

they are in my 75 gallon reef along with some clean up crew, mostly shrimp and snails, couple of brittle starfish

I was feeding frozen brine shrimp occasionally but quit, was told that it doesn't do much nutritionally and pollutes the water.

I am not sure if my firefish (been in the tank for a week) is eating the marine pellets.

Overall is this feeding ok and should I try something else to make sure the firefish eats?

Here is what I feed and it has worked really well. The only pellet I feed is the New Life Thera, and I feed the 3mm and 1mm size pellet mixed. Large pellets for the large fish, small fish get the leftovers and small pellets. They get pellets around 4-5 times a week, roughly every other day. I feed meaty frozen seafoods near daily, mysis (lg and small), spiruline enriched brine, nori sheets, Formula 1 & 2, and a homemade seafood mash (fish, shrimp, scallops, clams, pretty much any seafood that is really fresh), it all goes in a blender/food processor with some garlic, vitamins, zoe, or selcon. Freeze it in a baggie to make a flat. One day a week I just give lots of nori and dont feed anything else. I try to give multiple feeding and smaller portions whenever I can.

Lots of nori will keep your yellow tang happy and healthy. You can also try some ocean nutrition frozen cubes that always seems to get fish to go nuts. By the way thats a big yellow tang!

Sorry, 6 inch might be an exaggeration. More like 4-5". Thanks for the suggestions. Sounds like I might be on the right track. Will get some mysis - have heard good things about that and occasionally feed the enriched brine shrimp.

Thanks again guys.

I feed a little everything, Roger's reef food, ON formula 1 & 2, new life spectrum pellets, enriched brine, mysis shrimp, & just started using the oceanic gel foods. IMO variety keeps great colors & healthy fish if I had to choose two it would be the Roger's reef food & the new life sprectrum pellets.

That's a big tang for such a small tank. Are you upgrading soon? Variety is key with the feeding. Mix it up and don't feed the same things over and over. Even mix up when you feed. Keep them guessing. The tang is going to be an eating/crapping machine. He'll need to eat a few times aday and algae at least once a day.
