What size chiller, hp?

For my 65 gallon, what size chiller do I need. Can I go 1/10th hp. Tank 80-85 and room temp is about 75-78. Thanks

What are the high temps you experience in your area?

How long to the hot spells last?

What temp does your tank achieve naturally daily during this hot time?

With high temps of 95-100 for several days at a time, and a total system volume of 65-95 Gallons, you would find a chiller in the 1/10th horse to 1/5th horse power will suffice.

1/10 will be fine - was for me on a 120 plus 25 sump in s florida - i don't have mine anymore because I can not stand the noise and heat even though I had the artica - probably the quietest out there - try fans
