What size tank do I need for a 4-6'' peacock?

well acrylic is not any old cheap plastic, but yes it is basically a plastic (that's why they melt easily under metal halide lamps). its more common name is plexiglass but in the tank trade they always call it acrylic for some reason.

ive had mine in a 40G breeder and now she is in a 33G cube, the 33G is much better for a peacock i believe because the glass is thicker then a 40G breeder is and since a peacock doesnt move throughout the tank alot the small bottom area is perfect and the water volume is a good size for a mantis shrimp, if you dont want it to break the glass then dont tease it and give it a deep enough sand bed so it wont strike the bottom

I wouldn't recommend a deep sandbed. Peacocks have a tendency to bury food and molt skins causing water probs.

water is fine, you just have to give them the right size portions at the right times and it wont be a problem, and my peacock ate her entire molt skin so i havent had any problems, and without a deep sand bed, good luck having a peacock in a tank, even with a PVC burrow it will leave the burrow to bury things
