i got a used life-reef overflow that i would like to spray paint the box that is on the inside since it is clear, what spray paint can i use that won't be harmful to my reef, and also how long to let the paint cure before it is used?
Never used it, but have read about a hundred times over the years on here that krylon fusion is the stuff to use. let it dry for 24 hours so it is totally cured.
krylon fusion is the stuff. However HD and Lowes do not carry it. I had to go to Hobby Lobby to get some and a friend went to some other craft store. It says fopr plastic but will work on glass and is reef safe. Go to step 2 in this thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=912378 it talks about using it.
I read on this site some place a while ago to wait at least 72 hrs. When I painted mine with Fusion I waited almost a week just to be sure it was good and cured.
