what the heck is this? Need help

Ive noticed this white crusty stuff on this milli of late. Seems almost like some sort of excrement, I have added 2 pics for reference, this coral has been in my system for about 6 weeks. any ideas?

all i see is polyps. extended too. am i missing something?

Maybe this will help, the stuff on a few branches is almost pus, I dipped the coral in coral cure for 15 minutes and am monitoring, definately affects coral tissue

it looks like some type of bacterial infection than. I would be careful to make sure it doesn't get onto or near other sps corals. Dip it in lugos and see what happens

Just finished dipping in Tropic Marin coral cure, we'll see

I had the same thing happen to a medium sized A. humilis colony that had been in my tank for arround the same time(5 to 6 weeks)

It slimed up like that on a couple of the branches off and on for 2 or 3 weeks and now its healed up as though it never happened.


IMO this might be a reaction to adjusting to new flow/ light parameters.

I could be WAY OFF on this. But it looks alot like what I saw on my coral. HTH

It looks like you have an acro colony right beside it, chemical warfare is also a posibility.
