Hey guys,
I'm pretty new in the saltwater community. Couple days ago I was staring at my sump and I notice these little tiny creatures. They move slow and I notice they eat in there path if they bump into a pod or something. I thought i had just one looking closer I have a good amount in the sump. I do have a couple turbo snails in the sump so i dont know if it's from them or i should be worried. I try to upload a video just didnt go through. So if anyone can shed some light on this and tell me what they are I would appreciate. Friendly or Foe. Thanks @rmyvet

Acoel Flat worm. When you do s water change just syphon them out.

Thanks Diana I looked that name up and bingo just like you mentioned. Now I'm like freaking out that I have those in my sump. I feel like just dumping out my whole sump and clean it out. There in my filters in all the channels of my sump. I been so careful with everything I get and something always gets in. Thanks for your input I'll try to siphon them if I can't I'm just going to clean the sump lol. @rmyvet.

Thats an Amphiscolops (ghost) flatworm and is totally harmless..
It is in the Acoel class...Convolutidae family..

Siphon into a filter sock

Ok I get the siphon part I saw in videos people using gravity getting flatworms from the display and the filter sock in the sump. But what if it's in the sump and gravity really isn't working for me how do i siphon them out without losing SW but I can still suck up these flatworms. That's the part I'm stuck on a powerhead doesn't suck it blows, Air filter won't work so what can I use to siphon them up? I'm up for ideas i just dont have one lol. Thanks again @rmyvet.

Turkey baster

Sucking them out with a turkey baster would work. Out of curiosity, since it is harmless why do you want to remove it from the tank?

Hey sde1500,
I did get that there harmless. It's just that i have so many in my filters and I have two biopellets filters, carbon filter, gfo filter and my skimmer plus my pumps there everywhere and i see little tiny ones. I'm all for weird stuff growing in my tank or sump but when there's so many and if I leave them how many more will I have. There not in my display tank yet but if they get there which I wouldn't doubt they probably are but I guess my fish eat them and I don't see them. So if they were to show up and maybe they wouldn't multiply so fast I wouldn't mine them. But when there everywhere it gets scarey to where they can over take my sump and slow my filters flow. So now that I know there harmless I just want to have a control of them before they get out of control. That's the reason for me wanting to remove them. @rmyvet
