What to do about an uneven tank!

Hey Craig, how un-level is it from front to back? You can get a strip of thin wood (it's about 1/8"x3" or so, not sure what it's called) from lowe's and put it under the front 2x4 running all the way across the front.

I have no clue how un-level is really dangerous, but I wouldn't risk it. I've got a 30g brute you can use if you need to drain the water to level it, (you'd only need about 4 more to drain it :D) and then quickly slide the strip of wood under it.

It is actaully lower in the back which poses an interesting situation trying to get back there even if the tank is drained as it's in a corner. It's almost as if I would have to completely remove everything from the tank, pull it off the stand, then tack shims to the bottom and reset everything. I think I would need two 100g rubbermiad bins to do the job.

wow,

You guys have made me really nervous now. I guess my complaining about simply draining 60gallons of water into jugs is no biggie to level the tank now vs what i might experience later on.

I'm thinking that it will take a 3/4 in piece of wood at the front with about 1/4in more height on one corner to truly make it level.

Do you guys think that since i am not putting a wedge but simply a 4in wide strip of wood under the front of the tank that will have negative effects for the tanks structural stability. What i mean is the tank has a flat bottom (1 piece of 3/4in plywood) that would be sitting on the 4in board on the front and its plywood bottom in the rear. What about all the room inbetween the 2? Would it bow?
