I have been debating on food for clowns after the week mark, when rotifers are too small for them. I know most books say to do BBS but some say crushed flake foods or cyclopze.
My current baby batch is three weeks old, still has rotifers (I co-culture so the water is green still and the rotifers are still breeding) and I have been putting cyclopze in once per day for the past week and using flake food as a try today. I have yet to see them eat anything but rotifers. I was going to try BBS but the old eggs didnt hatch and I skipped them. BBS are sort of a pain for me to hatch, simply because I do not enjoy it. Is it okay to skip the BBS stage of feeding for other foods?
What do you think is the best and easiest second food?
