What to use for a tank divider between mantis

I have a 75g glass refugium and plan on divideing it in half and placeing a mantis on each side, peacock being the larger on one side. What should I use to seperate them and still allow water flow? I was thinking egg crate but worried they would be able tow ork through it quick and easy. I can use acrylic but dont want them to be able to see through it. I am considering sanding a sheet of acrylis and drilling a bunch of hole to allow water to pass, think this will work? Any better ideas?

I would get some black acrylic, and only put holes in the top for flow. This way, they can't see each other, but you still have the flow going through each. HTH

I hadnt thought about just useing teeth on the top, thanks, that will make it somewhat easy to do with stuff I have. Would it be ok to put a powerhead on the bottom pointing up to ensure water flow. Im thinking Ill point it up that shouldnt create to much flow for the shrimp will it. (Maxi 1200 per half of the 75g)

no, that would be fine, you will want flow or a peacock will dirty up the sand badly and it will start to grow a black carpet like algae on it, like mine is right now and i cant stop it

thanks for the idea, I will try ro snag a pic when its done. I can solve your algae problem real easy...... ship me your peacock:) problem solved!

This is my 40 gallon long Peacock and Chiragra divided tank. It's cycling right now.

Thats gives me an idea, maybe I will partition off the back 6 inches all the way across the tank, use it as a refugium, use solid walls between the mantis sections and let the water flow over the back into the refuge then into the overflow......hmmmm the options are makeing my head hurt:)
