What type of algae is this?

I start to have quite a bit of this type of algae growing on glass. It is green and grass looking. Anyone know what is it?

Did you check your phosphate level?

Thanks for the link. Nitrate test kit is expired need to buy a new one first. Phosphate is 0.5mg/l is it too high?

yes.. under .03 is recommended

looks like you also have some cyano there too..

I think it is possibly overfeeding. I do water change twice a week. Each time about 20%. System is still new hence twice a week water change.

Could anyone tell me whether I am overfeeding:
I feed polyplab reef roids twice a week, goniopower twice a week, zoo blast liquid 3 times a week, mysis twice a week.
Am I overfeeding?

We have no idea whats in your tank/how much total volume/how much you are feeding,how old it is/what and how many corals you have, etc..

But it sounds like way too much for any tank.. IMO

and the algae/cyano and phosphate levels pretty much prove it.
I'd expect nitrates are elevated too..

but 20% water changes twice a week sounds crazy too IMO..
