What type of CUC?

I'm getting a puffer on Friday and I kinda figure it will pick off the hermits snails and crabs. Just wondering what type of CUC you guys use when you have fish that will eat what I just mentioned. Is there a large sand sifting gobie or might a horseshoe crab work. Also will a couple of hermits and snails be okay in a sump that barely gets any light? Also there is a Zebra Eel in there as well.

One more note. Its going to be a spiney puffer.

I have Pincushion Urchins in my tanks. The Dogface puffer picked at them at first, but he left them alone once they got covered in shells to protect them.

My old dogface picked at the hermits right when i put them in the tank and they were the smallest size. He tried getting to them and would crack their shell but never kill them. When i got rid of the puffer (because i wanted corals) the hermits he left grew into turbo snail shells so theyr pretty big. After the initial hazing, the hermits should be fine...but the snails probably not gunna be pretty.

Do you think a long spine urchin will be okay? Thats what I have already.

Won't my eel go after the hermits once they are to large for the puffer.

My porcupine puffer has never messed with any of my CUC other than my black long spine. I currently have him with small hermits, nassaria snails, tiger cucumbers, assortment of starfish and urchins, and conchs.

Did it kill your uchin? Hopefully the spiney puffer desides not to eat my CUC as well.
