What type of Horse for a 12 Gal Nano?

Hey, we have a 12 gal reef Nano cube up and running. It's the hubby's tank, but when we get a house at the end of the year, he will be upgrading to a big tank, so the 12 gal will be all MINE!

I have been wanting seahorses for so long! And want to have my 12 gal as a devoted sea horse tank.

I have a couple of questions...

Which type of seahorses would be okay for a 12 gal? And how many?

And when the tank is turned over to me, does it need to go through a completely new cycle? How long should I cycle?

Unfortunately, this tank is too small for the more common species available such as H. erectus, H. reidi, H. kuda, H. kelloggi etc.

There are some that could go in the tank, but they are not as readily available or would require a chiller. H. Procerus & H. fuscus (very rare). H. capensis and H. whitei but require cooler water.

H. Zosterae can easily fit, but 12G may be too large for them. At least 25-30 can fit. The feeding concentration would have to be high.

Well, since I'm in Texas, the Nanocube regularly runs at 80-82 degrees with the fans going this summer.
So it looks like I'll end up getting a chiller anyways. When getting a small chiller, would it be easy to maintain the temperature?

It should be. If you can get the temp down consistantly below 75, you could go with H. whitei. If you can get to 72 or less probably H. capensis. If 69 or less, H. breviceps. H. breviceps would the coolest of those choices. They look somewhate similar to H. abdominalis (potbellies) but much smaller.
