What would cause Zoas to detach from LR?

Zoa experts, please tell me if you know why my Zoas are doing this.

Most of my Zoas are doing fine, but some have slowly popped off of the LR. Is this how they naturally spread? One colony is low in the tank and they are not crouded, so shouldn't they just spread to the neighboring LR? The other colony is on the top of the LR at the opposite side of the tank. They are growing really tight. It seams like they might just be running out of room, so the ones that are around the edges of the LR are just slowly popping off to find a new location. I've taken some of these in the past and moved them to other locations and they take there.

I just figured I check with the experts.

Thanks.

This is another way they spread throughout the tank. Its called budding. Some of the polyps will pop off and ride the current until they land on another rock or something and start growing there.

OK. It is normal then. I just found it odd that they were doing this in an area where they had room to spread.
