What would you have done in this situation

Well today water change day and pulled both vortechs out and my korralia. Stuck them in hot tap water and a quarter cup of vinegar to clean skimmer etc. went to rinse them 2 hours later and found my sea cucumber attached to the power head but still alive but didn't want to take the chance and have die in the tank so I tossed it. Welll like the thread says?

Say a little prayer for it then throw it away. Chalk it up as a lesson learned.

100% good decision.

I wouldn't risk it either. However, this is a good point to stress, having a small quarantine tank would have solved this. I just recently learnt this lesson, have the equipment coming in on friday to set one up.

Yeah that's what I thought would be best. I mean between the hot water and tap that's was 2 negatives then blast it with vinegar smh.
