What would you recommend for a cleanup crew ?

I'd recommend some turbos, astreas, or trochus snails. Maybe 5-10 of them. If you have a sand bed some good sand sifters are nassarius, ceriths, and mybe even a small tongan fighting conch. I'd say 5 nassarius, if they're the big "super tongan" type, 10 if they're the small regular ones and 5-10 ceriths.

I have 10 hermits a britle star 5 nassarious snails 3 turbos and 2 ceriths. No deaths. I left plenty of shells for the hermits to colonize and honestly don't think they will ever hurt the turbos since they are so big. my tank is a 29G by the way, almost the same as yours.

some people seem to have had problems with them but I absolutely love them. I've probably got close to 50+/- split up in my system 150gal. I couldn't imagine ever starting a tank without them.
I would suggest getting the smallest blue leggs that you can find. The red leggs seem to get aggressive from time to time.

Oh yea, I didn't even think of hermits.
I'd recommend either the blue leg hermits, or the scarlet reef hermits. The red leg and dwarf zebra hermits tend to become aggressive and might eat some of the snails. The scarlet reef hermits seem to do the best in my tanks. They live longer and are bigger than the blue leg hermits. I'd get like 10 of them with the snails too.
