whats a good fish with Personality?

I saw the coolest Redlip Blenny today at my LFS. The fish's color was amazing and so were it's "brows", lol. I want it, but already have a Flametail Blenny...can't give the little guy up.

here's my midas blenny in his rock.

I think blennies and pseudochromis have the most personality when talking small fish.

In general, most inquisitive fish and fish that have reduced or nonexistent swimbladders tend to have more 'personality.' This would include many of the blennies, hawkfish, triggerfish, pufferfish, some Pseudochromis, some wrasses, etc.

One of my favorite fish I ever had was a smithii blenny. I bought him at an aquarium store I used to work for just to try something different and he turned out to be a very interesting and exciting fish to keep.

I find tangs have alot of personality. My PBT is dog like, eats from my hand and shows alot of spunk when hes being watched.
Hippos, Naso, and pretty much any of them all show alot of personality.

I totally agree with SDguy. My lawnmower blenny and my Diadema Pseudochromis have great personalities. The LMB is amazing!

I adore my Pearly Headed Jawfish, so fun to watch in and out of his burrow! :D My Clowns eat from my hand, fun. LawnMower Blenny has a lot of personality, appearing bored. ;)

all my tangs eat right out of my hand and even let me pet them as they eat. Theres nothing more active then a tang thats for sure.

My Huma trigger is almost human. Eats out of my hand, lets me pet him and active all day.

I've had most of the above fish and would say that the Huma huma has the "most" personality of all. In Fenner's book he describes them as doglike. He also claims they are the most intelligent fish and they are supposed to even be trainable.

However you couldn't have one in a reef but if you did put one in, he'd be so cool to watch. My favorite thing was when he'd catch a worm. He'd shoot it out of his mouth perfectly straight for like 2 inches & then suck it back in like spaghetti.

They'll stick their mouths out of the water for food or petting, they know who you are and have the funniest ways of moving their eyes around when they are being wary. Mine was in with a small mantis - watching him try to hunt that mantis down was truly entertaining!

Second choice midas blenny or pearly jawfish (best of the jawfish IMHO)

HTH :)

My little cowfish, will follow you around, watch tv and spit water when it's feeding time :) get's along with everyone in the tank, including corals. Ohh and eats like a cow!!!
