what's best in the fuge?

What is the best combination (or alone) of plants to keep in the fuge to keep the system relatively stable and full of pods, and other beneficial organisms???? Also, what is good for keeping the nitrates, phosphates, etc low without negatively effecting the Ca and Alk levels. Generally, what do you keep in your fuge and why??
