What's going on here?

Not sure, but it looks like a bunch of feather dusters and they are EVERYWHERE. Should I be concerned? Is this the cause for the frogspawn to retract? They are all over it too. My parameters are great with the exception of my phosphate is
0.08 and my nitrate some may consider high at 3.

Hmm, are you feeding phyto or overfeeding? These generally don't overpopulate in our tanks because there isn't normally enough particulate food floating around to sustain a large number of them. I would try a kleins or long nose butterfly to control the population. A filter sock would help with reducing particulates until you can get the situation under control.

Thanks smooth. I may have been over feeding. I also haven't been running socks since may. In addition, I just recently turned my protein skinner back on. I had it off for 2 months trying to see what my nitrates would do. They did climb to 3. I will add sock tonight.
