What's growing on my Cynarina?

It started out small, but it's gotten progressively larger and the coral seems to be losing its color and the coral is shrinking while this thing is getting larger.
Any suggestions on what it could be or what it is?
Should I try to cut it out?

Almost looks to be bryopsis.. hard to tell. I just threw out a coral of mine that i noticed it on after putting it in my tank
