please tank another picture with the blue channels of your light turned way down or off..
Proper color rendition is important for identification pictures and all that blue makes id pictures difficult and any times cause focus problems too..

what kind of flow do you have in the tank?

Flow was pretty sub par for a while. Still not great but there's some, have a maxijet 1200 pro running utility/jet mode in a 20 gallon. But there isn't corals in the tank so it's not a huge deal for now and I will believe upgrading soon.

Clear proof why excessive blue lighting in ID shots should be avoided..

They are fine really..
If any of it bothers you a toothbrush and some manual removal should make short work of it..

I have some similar, they come and go, snails and urchin break them off... harmless.
