Hi all. I notice there's a string of "something" detaching from my hammer colony. Does anybody know what it is? The color looks like one of the tentacles flesh, is it withering away? please help. pics attached. Thanks

stringy poop nothing to worry about .at least you know he's eating.are you feeding him? i get great growth on euphelia corals by broadcast feeding oyster fest with phyto and spot feeding them frsh live losbster or blue claw crab eggs.these are the only solid foods i see my hammer frogspawn and torche they drop mysis and other whole foods but love lobster, crab and oyster eggs also they get great color from these foods.

sqwat, thanks for the input. For some reason, I'm very easily alarmed ever since I started this hobby. Well I'm worried because my tank isn't doing too well, polyps aren't opening as they used to and I have no clue why because I've tested and retested my water many times and they are spot on... I'm feeding corals phytofeast, golden pearls, mysis. I haven't try oyster eggs yet but I will try. Where can you order oyster eggs? are they available in local markets?

oyster feast from reef nutrition.it is very pricy but hands down one of the best prepared food out there.im a chef so i get lobster and crab eggs all the time also i can catch live grass shrimp but i cant ver get them to eat anything but the oyster feast and lob, crab eggs but i get great growth and color out of them.the hammer could also be expelling zooxanthia but it doesnt look like that in the pic.have you recently change bulbs or lights?or anything saltmix water ?addatives ?.do you have anny inverts that could go sampling corals.what are youre actual reading and stocking in youre tank maybe we can figure out whats up with youre other corals?the hammer looks fine to me.
