what's happening to my tank

My tank has been running for about 6 weeks now, in the last few days my water has become very cloudy, any advice would be helpful.

Mine is doing this as well, and I'm in week 3 of my cycle. I've read that it is more than likely a bacterial bloom, which is a normal occurrence at this stage.

Others should chime in, but in my case I have noticed already that it is subsiding. I haven't done any water changes (as I'm in my cycle), but I am skimming. Not sure if skimming has helped or not. Best of luck!

IMO, most likely a bacterial bloom and it should go away on its own. Just out of curiosity, has your tank cycled already?

i spoke to my local LFS, he said it's because I did a 40% water change I am getting an algae bloom, told me to do nothing and it will go away on its own. he said i striped the water of ammonia causing the bacterial bloom.
